September – possibly my favourite month of the year, and that's not just because it's my birthday month. I love September for a multitude of reasons – the start of autumn being the main reason.
Whenever the 'ber months roll around I'm swept up in my love for autumn, autumn fashion and all things 'late summer'. Golden sunshine, a cool breeze and an aura that just feels magical.
Throughout September I've worn some of the dreamiest outfits imaginable – and believe it or not, they're all from SimplyBe. So I've decided to round up what I've worn in September so far...
Birthday suit
I turned 24 on September 4th, so obviously I had to wear the most amazing outfit I own. I wore this stunning SimplyBe. X Emma Mattinson Floral Print Square Neck Waffle Shirred Jumpsuit and I couldn't get enough of it. Emma Mattinson is a Manchester-based illustrator and the talent behind SimplyBe's latest print collection (that I cannot get enough of).
This is honestly THE comfiest jumpsuit I've ever owned, this stunning ensemble is bright, bold and made from the most amazing material in existence. I'm wearing a size 18 and can say that it's true-to-size.
I wore this look for my birthday tea party and felt like the ultimate funky birthday princess. I then chucked on a Black PU Leather Jacket and headed out for a coffee in Chelsea.
Leopard and lace
On my day off I headed into Chelsea for a walk around Sloane Square to admire the stunning Chelsea in Bloom installations. I decided to wear an outfit perfect for transitional weather – something cool, yet warm. I teamed Leopard Print Tie Waist Scuba Culottes with a cute lace roll neck.
These trousers are so comfortable and can be worn with pretty much anything. They're low maintenance, which means you can literally chuck them on and go – while looking incredibly chic.
Team with sandals, sliders, fluffy slippers, trainers, boots or loafers – honestly, these trousers are SO versatile and I don't think I'll ever stop styling them up.
Green florals for autumn... groundbreaking
Trans-seasonal dress? I've got you covered. This Green Floral Square Neck Smock Dress is a dream to wear because it's just so darn versatile.
At the start of the month I wore the dress with bare legs and sandals, but later on in the month (as you'll see when you scroll down), I teamed it with tights and trainers for the most funky look in existence.
Such a fun print that makes a statement, this dress is the perfect length and fit and really complements my bubbly personality and funky home.
A fun take on fashion
If you've followed my blog since the beginning (which was almost eight years ago... gulp), then you'll know that I am a sucker for fun fashion.
Ever since I started reporting on fashion, fun fashion has been my favourite thing in the world, and it all started in 2014 when I covered Anya Hindmarch's Counter Culture collection at LFW.
I teamed the green floral dress from above with red tights from Snag, a fun Bingo bag from Lulu Guinness and my trusty black Nike Air Max trainers.
I think that the bingo bag teams so perfectly with the yellow 'diverted traffic' sign that's behind me, and the overload of primary colours makes my heart sing!
Trans-seasonal gingham
This Textured Gingham Tiered Tunic Smock Top is such a staple piece for literally every season, from spring to autumn.
Towards the end of August until mid-September this smock top can be worn with shorts, but then when the chillier weather hits, white cropped leggings look so chic.
Giving me country vibes, this outfit is such a versatile look that can be mixed, matched and worn in a million and one different ways.
