WHY I WON'T LET MY CURVES (AND FATNESS) STOP ME FROM BEING CLASSY

Classy women are always perceived as thin. You'll rarely see a fat classy woman in a movie or described in a book. Classy fat women don't exist according to the media and society. But I'm willing to rewrite the rule book.

I'm a fat woman. I'm also a classy woman. Yes, I'm a fat classy woman and I am ready to rewrite the rule book and change the perception of society – BECAUSE FAT AND CLASSY CAN OVERLAP!! FAT AND CLASSY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE!

Being classy doesn't mean you need to be thin. Being classy can mean that you carry yourself well, dress in an impeccable way, speak nicely, have good manners or appreciate the finer things in life. Being slim isn't a necessity when it comes to being classy, so erase that thought from your mind... NOW!

Being fat is not going to stop me from wearing a trench, drinking flat whites and reading romance novels. Being fat is not going to stop me from wearing big sunglasses, dreaming of Paris and aspiring to work for Vogue. Being fat is not going to stop me from being successful. Being fat is not going to stop me from wearing what I want.

Being fat is not going to stop me from living my best life – because being fat is not something to be ashamed of, nor does it make me less of a person

People believe that fatness instantly makes you less hygienic, more 'rough', less successful and less fashionable – but I beg to differ. In fact I reject those statements wholly.

Remember – being fat doesn't mean you're any less of a person. Rip up that rule book and life your best life, unapologetically! Be the classy woman you've always wanted to be – slimness is NOT required!
