[Dress gifted to me by Junarose]
If you've been a reader of my blog on the regular, then you probably know how much of a basic fall girl I am. As soon as July/August hits, I'm in full autumn mode and nothing can stop me. Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year. There's just something in the air that makes me happy when autumn comes around.
Autumn just feels magical to me. Somehow it's like everything has aligned and I'm ready to start afresh. The chill in the air, the leaves on the ground, the cutest outfits, the pumpkin patch, the fall scented candles and the delicious baked treats of course. There's so much to love about autumn and I doubt I'll ever fall out of love with fall.
Here's my favourite things about fall.. the best season of all..
Autumn has the best clothes. Fact.
From mini skirts and chunky tights to midi dresses and boots – there's a multitude of different trends, looks and vibes to appeal to any fashionista.
The shorter days.
I love cosy evenings. Pumpkin spice candles lit, Netflix on, hot cocoa and a pumpkin spice muffin. I couldn't think of a better evening.
Baking autumnal treats for family and friends.
I adore baking when it's autumn. Pumpkin spice muffins, pumpkin pies, iced biscuits in the shapes of leaves, toadstools and pumpkins – you name it, I'll bake it!
Pumpkin Spice Lattes... obviously.
Who doesn't love a PSL? End of convo.
Autumn walks in the cool crisp air, beneath the sunshine.
I adore taking walks when the sun is beaming down on me but it's still chilly enough for boots, tights and a coat.
Scarves.
Nothing beats a scarf when the temperature drops.
Berry lips and rusty eyeshadows.
Although red is my signature, I'll push the boat out in the autumn and sport a berry lip once in a while. Sometimes I'll even go all out and blend some rusty eyeshadow onto my lids.
Sunflowers of course.
Sunflowers are mainly available from August until the end of September. Sunflowers are just so bright and beautiful. Whenever I have them in a vase on the table, my day is brightened almost instantly.Chelsea boots.
Chelsea boots are a staple for me throughout the chillier months. They go with everything and they are super comfy too. They're also great for autumn walks and foraging for conkers and pine cones.Wave watching.
I love heading down to the beach, sitting on the pebbles and watching the waves with a PSL in hand – nothing soothes my soul more. It's so therapeutic.Cosy pyjamas.
Buying new pyjamas is a hobby of mine.. seriously. I love buying new clothes to lounge in.Pumpkin picking.
Heading to the pumpkin patch is a tradition of mine. I LOVE going to see all of the gorgeous pumpkins.. there's nothing more satisfying than picking the perfect pumpkin and taking it home to carve.Steal Mollie's Style
Autumn attire should either be chic and classic or cosy and cute. Am I right or am I right? A cute dress teamed with an oversized chunky knit cardigan is extremely cute and super cosy for those chilly days!
I'm wearing a Short Dress by Junarose in a gorgeous blue hue with green embroidery. It's the most beautiful dress and super comfy too.
I'm also sporting a Brave Soul London chunky knit cardigan, tan chelsea boots, Jack Wills red socks and vintage clip on earrings.
