VINTAGE GLAMOUR | WHY I'M EMBRACING MY VINTAGE STYLE

I'm an old-fashioned girl at heart. I adore sentimentality, I adore handwritten letters, and I'm a sucker for dresses that fall below the knee paired with a red lip, and cat eye sunglasses. I have always been this way, and I honestly believe that it brings more magic into your life...

My personal style is unique. I don't stick to a certain style, instead I like to create my own. As I've mentioned before on here, I'm a paradox.. a paradox of a multitude of styles. One day I can be dressed like Jackie Kennedy, and the next like Cher Horowitz, and the next I might be wearing a retro outfit that resembles something my great nan might have worn growing up. I adore my personal style because it represents me and who I am as a person.

For me, vintage fashion is magical. It's pretty, it's old-fashioned, and it's everything I love about eras gone by. I would have loved to have grown up when my great nan was growing up... I often look back at photos of her and daydream about what life was like back then, as well as lusting over the fabulous outfits she would wear.

Vintage fashion is classic, it's chic, it's glamorous, and it never ever dates. Current trends are disposable – tie-dye and camouflage for example – but vintage fashion is not. A vintage dress will last you a lifetime, give you a lifetime of amazing memories, and guarantee you look classy upon every occasion you pull it from your closet.. and that's why I adore vintage fashion.

Steal Mollie's Vintage Style

I was kindly gifted the stunning Mainline Nia Wild West Swing Dress*, and the fabulous Lulu Hun Wanda Bowling Bag* from Collectif Clothing.

The Nia Wild West Swing Dress* is absolutely stunning, and so perfect for my personal style and curvy figure. Nipping me in at the waist, this beautiful green dress flatters my figure and feeds my classic fashion addiction! The material isn't stiff at all – it's nicely structured but with a slight stretch that really hugs your figure and lets you breathe at the same time. The wild west print that adorns this dress is in-keeping with my love of country music, while the green and neutral colour palette means I can wear this dress throughout the seasons. With a flared style, this dress looks amazing paired with trainers, a thin cardigan, and of course the beautiful bowling bag, which is an absolute dream!

The dresses I own, wear, and buy are all getting longer as I get older. Long gone are the days of mini dresses, I'm now all about knee/below-the-knee dresses, which is why I adore this dress so much. I also never normally get the tops of my arms out as I'm quite conscious of that area of my body, but this dress honestly made me feel amazing, super feminine, and like a vintage country pin up singer! I cannot wait to wear this again multiple times throughout the summer, it's so beautiful, comfy, and versatile.

The Lulu Hun Wanda Bowling Bag* is one of my current go-to handbags, roomy, versatile, and so chic too. I really love using this bag as it fits in everything I need with complete ease, and looks especially lovely with floral printed blouses (as well as this gorgeous dress of course).

This entire outfit would suit any occasion. Personally I love dressing in beautiful clothes most days, so for me I would wear this dress for any occasion – even out for coffee! But how perfect is this outfit for weddings, christenings, vintage days out, afternoon tea, or a party? I am in love with it and just how versatile it really is!

As you can see above, the Lulu Hun Wanda Bowling Bag* is such a beautiful piece that will team with so many outfits – both vintage and modern. With green and cream panelling, this bag has a stunning colour palette that's versatile and classic. Roomy enough for my everyday essentials, plus an included extendable strap that means I can wear it on my shoulder or across me.

I'm also sporting a stunning vintage style (model: 2802-LLRR) watch* by EverSwiss (Mode9UK) from WatchShop.com, and some stunning earrings* (Gold Embellished Flower Pearl Hoops) from Johnny Loves Rosie. I tied this outfit together with rose gold trainers and a khaki cardi.

I adore vintage fashion.. it's a massive part of my personal style. I definitely think I'm an old soul, so this outfit feeds my soul in ways you can't even fathom...

when you believe you were born in the wrong era, be the era you were meant to be born in...
