[The dress featured in this post was gifted to me by JOY]
In September I'll be turning twenty-two. I can't quite believe that, but it's true! Since turning twenty-one, I've learned a lot, done a lot, achieved a lot, and realised a lot. So here's twenty-one things to do while you're twenty-one...
Get closure and move on
Always get closure. Make peace with people before moving on.Make a goal list each month under the new moon
I make goal lists under each new moon, and TRUST me on this one – 70% of the goals I set out to achieve actually happen/manifest.. amazing right? Try it and thank me later.
Don't dwell on the past
Stop thinking about what happened 2 years and 4 months ago. It's not relevant in your life.
Stop caring about irrelevant people
Who cares what so and so is up to? Do you really care if they've gone to Spain or bought a new hair clip? No you don't. Focus on you, not them.
Let go of people who no longer serve you
Unfollow them on social media, and avoid them IRL. If they don't bring any good into your life, then don't bother with them. Still be civil, but you don't have to 'let them in'.
Start thinking about your future
Make goals. Create vision boards. Craft a five year plan. Put yourself out there. Manage your finances. Think about your future – where are you going? What are you planning to do?
Meditate
Breathe. Take some time out of your day to just stop. Just sit, just be, just breathe, and clear your mind.
Dedicate time to your faith
While I was twenty I became spiritual, and around the time of me turning twenty-one I became Wiccan. Take time out for your faith. It's important.
Find your own personal style
By the time you're twenty-one, your personal style should pretty much be a big part of your identity. Nurture it. Love it. Be it.
Clean up your social media platforms
Delete old accounts (that you remember the password to). Delete any tweets that may appear as offensive or too political. Delete people who aren't positive influences. Make sure your profile picture is presentable, and your profiles clear and easy to read.
Get a tattoo
Get some ink.. one tattoo or even five. Who cares. If you love it, you want it, and you can afford it. Just do it.
Write *actual* letters to loved ones
I adore writing letters. To me, nothing is greater than putting pen to paper and writing a heartfelt letter. The art of letter writing is fading, so why not bring it back by writing handwritten letters and notes to loved ones?
Learn to love your "imperfections"
I hate my arms but I'm learning to accept them. I hated my bum but I've learned to love it. Learn to love everything society has told you to loathe.
Buy clothes that you love, that will last
STOP buying fast fashion. Invest in investment pieces that will last. Buy from independent brands and brands that manufacture their clothing in the UK. Support local. Do your bit.
Make a friend in a different country
I have the most amazing friend in America and we actually became friends through pen-palling. I cannot wait to meet her one day. It's so nice to know that somebody in this world knows almost everything about me.
Always have fresh flowers
Carnations. Daffodils. Sunflowers. Tulips. Fresh flowers brighten up your home, room, and life.
Always question things & don't believe everything
Never just accept anything and everything that somebody says. Question it. Challenge it. And do your own investigating.
Notice the little things & appreciate nature
Notice the way that the leaves change in the autumn. Notice the way a stranger smiles at you (and smile back).
Keep a scrapbook
Scrapbooking is a great way to store your physical memories. Ticket stubs, train tickets, sweet wrappers, photos. Everything.
Listen to varied genres of music
Don't just listen to one genre. Experiment with pop, country, rap, R'n'B, hiphop, and bebop.Be grateful
Say thank you. Not just to your mum for making you breakfast, but say thanks to the Universe too. You're alive. Be grateful.Steal Mollie's Style
I'm wearing the most beautiful dress from JOY. It's the Louche Celina Carnation Print Sleeveless Dress in Blue. It's perfect for spring/summer, and so beautiful for any occasion. I styled it up with some red Birkenstocks and a rare Grafea, heart shaped sunnies, and a bright red lip!
The dress is so beautiful, so floaty, and so chic. It has MAJOR Taylor Swift vibes from her Begin Again music video, and if I'm honest, that's what drew me to this dress first!
Have you done any of the twenty-one things I recommend doing while you're twenty-one? Let me know below!

Awww thank you honey!! Means so much coming from you xxx
DeleteThis post was so wholesome and wonderful. I'm a Wiccan too, and I keep a bullet journal, and I can't believe I never thought to write my monthly goals under the full moon. That's such an easy change to implement that I'm sure will reap fantastic benefits for me. I'm turning 21 in November this year, and will definitely be trying some of your suggestions before I do!
