Today I'm creating a stunning movie star look... think pastel pink floaty garments, teamed with a bold lip and bold eyes...
My cousin recently started selling Avon, and she wanted to send me a few bits to try out and review. I chose a selection of classic themed makeup – an ivory base with fluffy brows, bold lips, and winged liner – that's the vibe I was going for... I wanted to create a classic movie star look with some Avon makeup, while reviewing the products too.
To create this classic movie star makeup look, I used the following products:
- True Colour Flawless Liquid Foundation in Warm Ivory
- True Colour Illuminating Pearls
- True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Red Supreme
- True Colour Supershock Definition Mascara
- True Colour Super Definition Liner
- True Colour Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Brunette
- Pro Colour In 60 Seconds Nail Enamel in Dashing Red
The True Colour Flawless Liquid Foundation blends really well. Warm Ivory matches perfectly with skin tone – I have a pale skin tone that has yellow undertones. The foundation is currently £7!
The Illuminating Pearls look amazing on the apples of my cheeks – they add a pop of colour that brings a healthy glow to my complexion. The Illuminating Pearls are currently £5.50.
The True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Red Supreme is honestly one of my ULTIMATE favourite red lipsticks – it's so pigmented, has an amazing matte finish (that isn't drying), and stays in place for the majority of the day too! The lipstick is currently £8.
The True Colour Supershock Definition Mascara is jet black, and super volumising, and only £5.50. Teamed with the True Colour Super Definition Liner (only £6.50), which is super precise and pigmented, this dup creates a show-stopping glamorous eye look, which is both classic and simple.
For my brows I used the True Colour Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Brunette. I usually use a brow product that has a spoolie included, so I was really surprised at how well this pencil worked without one! The Glimmerstick glides on like butter, and gives a gorgeous finish to your brows. And for only £3.50.
I also used the Pro Colour In 60 Seconds Nail Enamel in Dashing Red (which you can see in the close up of the lipstick). A stunning burgundy red that is so versatile! It also dries in 60 seconds, so perfect for those of us who are on the go! And only £3!!
You can shop with Rachael here! Because if you didn't already know, you can now shop online with Avon... I'm sure Rachael would LOVE to be your online representative, so be sure to shop with her. Avon is SO affordable, and it's crazy how good the quality is, especially for the price! I highly recommend Avon, and obviously I recommend shopping with my cousin!
Steal Mollie's Style
I'm wearing the gorgeous Louche Alexy Dobby Ruffle Neck Blouse, which was gifted to me by JOY. The blouse is pale pink with floaty sleeves, detailed buttons on the cuffs, and the most amazing dobby print! I'm wearing a size 16, and it's slightly tight around my hips, so I recommend sizing up! But other than that, this blouse is truly stunning and totally in-keeping with my style! I feel that this blouse looks so glamorous, especially with a classic makeup look and pearl accessories.
I'm wearing two pretty pearl clips from Primark. They were £2 for two hair clips! Amazing, right!? I'm also wearing some family heirlooms – my great nanny's St. Christopher and my nan's pearl clip on earrings.
