Acne aids from Image Skincare's Clear Cell collection

I have suffered with spots, blemishes, and breakouts for as long as I can remember. I've never had full blown acne, but my skin has always had traits of acne. Luckily, as I've grown up, my skin has matured and dried out a little, which means I don't suffer as many breakouts as fifteen year old me did. But every now and again, especially around my time of the month or if I get stressed, my skin will break out in angry blemishes and spots....

For years I have tried countless acne/spot/blemish products, some work long-term, and some work short-term, and some don't work at all. It can be a total task trying to find the right products, and expensive too. Over the years I have built up quite a collection of skincare products to aid acne, and to help with other issues too. Some I swear by (SBC propolis, DHC pore cleaner, Vichy, NUXE and some others), but when you get a breakout that's angrier than usual, sometimes my holy grails don't quite cut it. 

I was kindly gifted a few bits from Image Skincare to try. I was gifted their Clear Cell Clarifying Lotion, and Clarifying Gel Cleanser, alongside their Ormedic Serum. The Clear Cell collection is aimed at those of us with spot/blemish/acne.

I've been trialling these products on and off for a couple of months, and I really love the affects of the Clear Cell range, but the Ormedic range not so much. The Clear Cell range is powerful, targeted, and effective – I use the Clarifying Gel Cleanser to wash my face each night, and then I'll apply the targeted Clarifying Lotion to any problematic areas (usually chin, forehead, and sometimes nose). I only really carry out this routine around that time of the month when my hormonal breakouts are present, or when I have a really angry spot that I need to banish right away. The Clear Cell range has a strong scent that disappears after a few minutes, and the lotion settles into your skin beautifully, and quickly. 

The Ormedic serum is okay, but sadly not for me. I had high hopes for this product as it claims to balance your skin, so I thought it would work wonders on my occasionally oily skin. But instead, after a few days of use, my skin appeared and felt much greasier than ever before. It was such a shame as the scent, texture, and benefits were amazing, yet it just didn't suit me or my skin. However, my mum tried it out and she adores it – it keeps her skin hydrated, fresh, and plumped.
