Urban Decay All Nighter & Naked Skin foundation comparison (Shade 1.0)

Monday, 30 July 2018

I've been using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation for around a year now, and I've loved every single application. I recently invested in the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation, and I thought I'd write a comparison piece for you all. The foundations are quite different, and despite being the same shade, even the shade of each is slightly different too...

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is super light-weight, with a demi-matte finish. The coverage is really good, and the way it sits on your skin is effortless and natural. The formulation is liquid-like and blends easily into your skin, and with other makeup products too (blush, highlight, bronze). Although a full coverage foundation, when compared to the All Nighter Foundation, the Naked Skin Foundation is a lot lighter and more dewy.

The Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation is a lot more thicker than the Naked Skin Foundation. It has a much more durable and heavy texture, and it takes a little more effort to blend into your skin. Once applied, the All Nighter Foundation isn't cakey and doesn't look thick or patchy at all. It's a full-coverage foundation that covers any imperfections with ease. I'd say that this foundation is perfect for hot summer days, holidays abroad, clubbing, festivals or any events when you're looking for a full coverage, non-budge face base.

From top to bottom: UD Naked Skin Foundation Shade 1.0, and UD All Nighter Foundation Shade 1.0

As you can see from the above swatches, the swatches are ever so slightly different. The top swatch, which is the UD Naked Skin Foundation in Shade 1.0 is a little lighter and more translucent when compared to the bottom swatch of the UD All Nighter Foundation in Shade 1.0. The swatches show that the UD All Nighter Foundation has a lot more of a higher coverage compared to Naked Skin – even though they're the same shade, the difference comes from the coverage, which makes the foundations appear to have a slightly different shade.

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation retails at £28.50, and the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation retails at £29.50.

Have you tried either of these foundations before? If you have let me know your thoughts on them below!
