THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE RANGE REVIEW

Friday, 27 April 2018

I've been using the Tea Tree range from The Body Shop for years now, and it's a range that has a secure place on my bathroom shelf. I've been using their Tea Tree toner since I was around fifteen years old and the results are amazing. I've recently been trialling four different products from the Tea Tree range – four products that I hadn't ever tried before, and so far the results have been incredible.

As an long-time lover of the range, I already had high hopes for these products, so was super excited to change up my skincare routine. Although a massive cheerleader for the Tea Tree mattifying toner, I usually had intervals in between using the product where I didn't, as it sometimes dried my skin out a little too much, so I was a tad dubious about the mattifying lotion. But oh boy was I wrong!

The four products I have been trialling from the Tea Tree range are the Pore Minimiser; Targeted Gel, 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub, Mask; and Mattifying Lotion. Each of the products has the distinctive Tea Tree scent which is rejuvenating, refreshing and invigorating too.

My new skincare must-haves...

The Pore Minimiser (£9) is an amazing product that works so well beneath your foundation. I always worry with foundations incase they clog my pores up, but when using the pore minimiser my mind is at rest, as I know my skin will be protected throughout the whole day. I apply the pore minimiser each morning after cleansing and toning my face, it has a stunning refreshing scent and leaves my skin feeling cool, refreshed and matte.

The Targeted Gel (£7.50) is perfect for hormonal breakouts. I get these kinds of breakouts on my chin, and I find that this targeted gel really helps with keeping them at bay. The gel has a light formulation what absorbs in a few minutes. If I apply this before makeup application, I'll usually wait for the gel to thoroughly dry so that the finish of my foundation isn't affected.

The 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub, Mask (£8.50) is an incredible product. In fact, it's a lifesaver! I'm besotted with this multi-tasking hero as it really does work. I use it every day, but in a different way. One day I might use it as a mask by applying it and leaving it on for 20 minutes, and the next day I might just scrub it on and wash it off, and the next day I might leave it on for 3 minutes while in the bath – it's a brilliant product, especially if you're not one for having an excessive amount of skincare products adorning your bathroom/or if you have blemish prone skin and need just a basic yet effective skincare routine.

The Mattifying Lotion (£9.50) is my new HOLY GRAIL! As mentioned, I was a tad dubious about this product as where it's a mattifying product, I didn't want it to dry my skin out too, too much. But it's incredible and strikes the perfect balance between mattifying and hydrating, while leaving your skin looking super clear and keeping the majority of breakouts at bay.

I'm so happy I decided to change up my skincare routine, as I have definitely struck a gold star routine that has changed my skin for the better. I've been trialling these products for almost a month and my skin looks amazing! I'll keep you updated with how it progresses on my social media channels, but I'm certain my skin has turned a corner!
