1. Body Image
So many of us (including me) have stressed, or still do, about our body image. I'm slowly learning to love myself a little more and all of my imperfections. Body positivity is a really popular topic of conversation these days and it makes me so happy that this positive message about body image is being radiated across social media for young, impressionable boys and girls to see. For too long I worried about my thick thighs, big bum and soft stomach - but at the end of the day why should I change myself for other peoples' benefit? If I'm healthy, happy and positive in myself, there's nothing I need to do to alter myself.2. Exams
Ugh!! Dreaded exams. Although exams are important, we shouldn't stress over them as much as we all do. I know this seems impossible, but at the end of the day there's more important things to worry about. All you can do is your best and you should be proud of yourself no matter what the result may be. Many people worry so much about exams that their performance in the actual exam is affected.3. What people think of you
I worried for so many years (especially while at middle and high school) about what people thought of me. I worried about what they said about me behind my back, I worried that they thought I was fat, ugly, uncool and weird. I didn't have the best time at school and I really just wish I hadn't cared as much as I did - maybe then I'd have looked fearless AF and people wouldn't have targeted me as much as they did. I now, don't care or worry about what people think of me. They can think exactly what they want - I couldn't care less and I don't! You shouldn't care or worry about what other people think of you either.. it's a pointless exercise that can only make us feel worse. Wear what you want, do what you want and most importantly be exactly whoever the hell you want!4. Having a bad hair day
Having a bad hair day can ruin our day, can't it!? But isn't it silly to worry about something so ridiculous? Yeah it would be amazing if our hair could looks perfectly blow dried every waking second of the day, but in reality this isn't at all possible. Sometimes you have to find the beauty in things that aren't necessarily beautiful - learn to love your windswept hair that's gone way too frizzy and out of control in the rain.5. Not having a lot of friends
I've never had hundreds of friends and I'm okay with that. In fact I think it's better to be independent. Being independent and not having hundreds of friends meant I could do exactly what I want - not having lots of friends probably contributed to myself starting this blog! Although it would be nice to have a load of friends that I could meet up with regularly and have an actual social life, I'm chilled with being who I am and enjoying my own company!6. Not having designer branded clothing
When I was younger having the latest 'designer' bags and clothing was a sought after thing, and although I own a few designer pieces now and totally lust over so many more, designer brands and labels don't determine your self-worth.7. Not having a boyfriend
I'm almost 20 years of age and guess what.. I've NEVER had a boyfriend. I know right, how lame. But wait, it's not lame. Not being in a relationship and not having a boyfriend doesn't mean you're any less of a woman. Yeah I have fancied (a fair few) boys before, crushed on them hard and longed for them to like me back, written their names all over my diary and sent them anonymous Valentine's Day cards, but they didn't (or if they did, they never said.. ugh, it's their loss) liked me back and I'm totally okay with that. One day I'll no doubt fall in love with the so-called love of my life, but until then I'm going to embrace being me, loving myself and not nagging somebody to put the toilet seat down..8. What your Instagram feed looks like
Instagram is a pretty big deal these days and having a 'theme' seems to be a massive trend. I've never really grasped the art of sticking to a theme and I doubt I ever will. I just try to post the prettiest pictures I can snap and hope for the best. Please stop worrying about having a theme, especially if you don't enjoy it. Post spontaneously and have fun with your photographs! I wrote a post all about 'the things we do for Instagram', be sure to check it out!9. Having spotty skin
For years I have suffered with spot/blemish prone skin - I tried so hard to combat the spots when I was at school, I must've tried every skincare product under the sun and still, nothing worked. Yes, my skin is slightly clearer now and currently on its way to being a lot clearer, but I honestly wish I didn't worry about my spots as much as I did. Whether you've got acne, blemishes or angry spots - don't beat yourself up over what you can't change. Spots are a natural part of growing up and pretty much a natural part of life. Don't worry about them, I doubt anybody worries about your spots as much as you do.Do you worry about any of the above!? I know that I have done before. Let me know below if you can relate to the above and also if there's anything else you worry about...
