Yankee Candle, America's best loved candle - but arguably you could say the world's best loved candle. A favourite candle brand of mine, Yankee Candle are an American candle company set up in 1969. Yankee Candle consists of 5 main fragrance families; Fresh, Fruit, Floral, Festive and Food & Spice. Today I shall be sharing my new discovery with you all. A discovery of a trio of incredible treats.
Granny Smith, Cotton Candy and Coconut Bay - three of Yankee Candles' best loved and most rare candles. Me and my mum, being the die-hard Yankee Candle addicts that we are, had wanted to get our hands on this trio for a while so when we saw it featured on QVC before Christmas, we just had to purchase, and I am so glad that we did.
Granny Smith
The Granny Smith fragrance is incredibly.. hmm... 'appley'? It's super fruity and fills the room with a massive throw of fragrance which is both refreshing and homely. Perfect as we are nearing Spring, so this will gently resurrect us from the heady festive candles that we have been burning.Cotton Candy
Cotton Candy, my personal favourite smells like sweets, candy and sugar. This scent is quite similar to Yankee Candle's 'Merry Marshmallow' Fragrance, but has a slight sweeter top note. I cannot wait until my bedroom is completely complete with shelves etc... so that I can light this amazing candle. The colour will blend in and the scent will fill my bedroom so that it'll smell like a cotton candy cart.Coconut Bay
Coconut Bay, well, what can I say? We have lusted over this candle for a couple of years now. We saw one on a 'rare' website for over £100 and we were so tempted as this candle was highly rare for a long while, but thanks to QVC, we got the entire rare trio for around £40.00! This candle smells exactly like fresh, tropical coconut. Unlike some shower gels and candles, this candle doesn't have a cheesy undertone, which is just perfect. This trio is incredible. Incredibly priced, incredibly formed and incredibly blended. I adore Yankee Candles and this set is just perfect. Below are my top tips on burning Large Yankee CandleJars safely and correctly to avoid tunnelling.
Tips on burning your Large Jar correctly
- Ensure you burn your large jar for a minimum of three hours before extinguishing.
- Before lighting your Yankee Candle ensure that you snip the wick to a short length preferably using some wick trimmers.
- Whilst burning your large jar Yankee Candle, ensure that it's in a draft free area, preferably with a shade or an iluma lid.
- When extinguishing your large jar candle, make sure that you either re-apply the glass lid or use a snuffer.
