Style Guide | 3 Autumnal Fashion Trends you need to follow | Part One

I am overjoyed to be the bearer of good news. Autumn is here and so am I, your Autumn fashion guru...

I adore Autumn. I love the colours that are associated with Autumn; Rust, Burgundy, Green, Navy and Mustard. It's that time of the year where we can wrap up in roll neck sweaters and sip mulled wine from christmas themed mugs.. (maybe a little too early for the latter but who cares right?!)

Today's post is a style guide, a brief overview on my top 3 picks for this season - so far - my favourite season - Autumn!!! This is part one of many Autumn Style Guides, so keep checking my blog for more updates!

1. Suede Coats

Suede coats and jackets are absolutely massive again this season. Thanks to Burberry Prorsum's AW14 showcase that had many heads turning in awe of their A/W delights; it's hard to believe that that was back in 2014, time certainly does fly in the Fashion industry. I, myself purchased a suede coat last season and I am overjoyed that I'll be able to resurrect it from my wardrobe and style it with a khaki shirt dress, tan sandals and a designer handbag. The jacket I purchased was actually from eBay. Make sure you shop about in charity shops, online auctions and local vintage stores - you never know what you might find to satisfy your fashion needs.

2. Loafers

Loafers are a big hit this season. Flat shoes are so much more 'in' at the moment. I myself, adore high shoes and low, but the fact that low loafers are very on trend this season makes me beam with happiness. Loafers are the perfect mix of chic with smart and this factor is perfect for work, college or running errands. I picked up a pair of lovely loafers the other day, from River Island. They were only a mere £15, (PU/Pleather) but what a bargain? Fashion changes so much that £15 is the perfect price!

3. Lattice and Eyelets

Lattice style dresses and tops are very on-trend at the minute. I have seen lattice style pieces flood the highstreet stores. I am really loving this trend at the minute, but I fear that it won't be long lived as it's an aquiered taste. I made a small purchase of £25 for a smock style dress from New Look which had lattice and eyelet detailing in a burgundy/marsala colour which I absolutely adore. They also stock this in Black and also White - for those of you who don't appreciate burgundy or want a more transitional piece that can be worn throughout many more seasons. For short lived trends such as this, - the highstreet is the best place to shop.

These are just some of the gorgeous Autumnal pieces that the highstreet have to offer. I'll be keeping my eye(lets) <-- Sorry for the pun! Anyway.. I shall be keeping my eyes on the highstreet so I can bring you some more instalments of must have trends for this season.
